STUDENT SPOTLIGHT - ZAVIER CRUSE
Zavier Cruse’s Journey from HCC to the Audubon Metals Team!
Zavier Cruse graduated from the Henderson Community College Federation for Advanced
Manufacturing Education (FAME) program in 2025 and has worked for the Audubon Metals
team for the past three years. He spent two years with the company as a FAME student
before transitioning into a full-time role as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.
HCC FAME’s paid apprentice-style format allows students to earn an industry-recognized degree while gaining valuable work experience in industrial maintenance
Zavier says the FAME program gave him a strong technical foundation that he uses every day on the job. “The HCC FAME program taught me a lot on the technical side of industrial maintenance, and that knowledge helps me perform my daily tasks,” he said.
