Help is on the way!

Free assistance is available in select subjects for students who are currently enrolled at Henderson Community College. Tutors are able to help with problems and questions from class. Tutors are able to work with more than one student at once, so if you see other students receiving help, they may also help you as well! Please come prepared with books, notes, or materials you may need. In addition, there are free academic success workshops throughout the semester that you can attend.

FALL 2019 Open Tutor Schedule

Open tutoring, which requires no appointment, is a time where a peer or faculty tutor will be available to help students during the listed time frame. Feel free to come and go during these times. Tutor Services are located on the second floor of the library.

There is no tutoring when the college is closed or during Fall Break or Spring Break. Occasionally tutoring is cancelled. A note will be posted in such cases.

WRITING CENTER HOURS – AD 205

The HCC Writing Center is a free service for students, faculty, and staff. We offer writing assistance and guidance with written assignments/projects in a variety of academic disciplines. Our writing consultants and trained student tutors will be able to help with any stage of the writing process (brainstorming, outlining, revision, and editing), citations, annotated bibliographies, etc. A bank of web resources for writers and instructors are also be available.
