Help is on the way!
Free assistance is available in select subjects for students who are currently enrolled
at Henderson Community College. Tutors are able to help with problems and questions
from class. Tutors are able to work with more than one student at once, so if you
see other students receiving help, they may also help you as well! Please come prepared
with books, notes, or materials you may need. In addition, there are free academic
success workshops throughout the semester that you can attend.

Spring SEMESTER 2021 TUTORING SERVICES
TutorMe.com now available!
Due to the pandemic, tutor services are primarily available online this semester through TutorMe.com. This new service supports over 300 academic subjects and is available to all Henderson Community College students who have HCC designated as their “home college” within the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. To access TutorMe.com, perform the following steps.
- Open Blackboard, and look for eCommunity/Organization Search, and click it.
- Then, you should see a search window, type “Information Literacy” into that window and click “Go.”
- On the results page, look for HEC Information Literacy, and click the little gray circle. After clicking, you should see “Enroll.”
- Click “Enroll” and on the next page, click “Submit.”
- On the next page, click “OK,” and then you’ll be taken to the HCC Information Literacy page.
- Look in the menu on the left for the TutorMe.com link, and then follow the steps provided by TutorMe.com
Other steps to access the service is:
- Check any of your BlackBoard courses (it does not have to be in the corresponding subject) for a link to TutorMe.com along the side menu.
- Click the link and follow the steps provided by TutorMe.com

WRITING CENTER

The HCC Writing Center, coordinated by Professor Bill Gary (270-831-9638), is a free service for students, faculty, and staff. Writing assistance and guidance with written assignments/projects is offered in a variety of academic disciplines. Writing consultants and trained student tutors help with any stage of the writing process brainstorming, outlining, revision, and editing along with citations and annotated bibliographies. Services during the Spring 2021 semester are available virtually at HCCWritingCenter@kctcs.edu.
