President's Welcome | HCC

President's Welcome

Thank you for your interest in Henderson Community College!

We pride ourselves on being the most accessible, affordable, and relevant postsecondary education choice in the Henderson, Union, and Webster County area. As part of the state-wide, 16-college Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS), we have the ability to collaborate with our sister institutions to help meet your needs. Coupled with the mutually-beneficial relationships we have developed with our many university partners, we can provide you with many transfer options.

Our campus is truly small enough to care, but big enough to serve. At HCC, we know your name. With small class sizes, we ensure that students get the one-on-one time they need with professors and other students, whether that’s in the classroom or online. Our faculty provide high-quality, supportive instruction. They challenge students to be more than they ever thought possible.

HCC offers associates degrees, certificates, career and transfer programs on campus and online. With 16-week, 15-week, 12-week, and 8-week classes, you’re never more than a few weeks away from a better life! With career pathway, apprenticeship-style educational programs such as HCC FAME, our students can get hands-on, real-world experience while earning a credential and a paycheck at the same time.

Our priority is student success. HCC provides an array of student support services ranging from academic advising and tutoring, to job placement and transfer services. The college’s admissions and financial aid teams help students navigate the application process and secure financial assistance. Our various student organizations give students numerous opportunities to get involved in campus life and interact with our faculty outside of the classroom. There are so many ways to get connected at HCC through Early College, Phi Theta Kappa, and other student-centered groups!

We are proud of the three C’s – Convenience, Comfortability, and Cost! We accept our responsibility to help students avoid burdensome student loan debt. Our tuition is reasonably priced and comparable to other local community colleges and four-year universities, and we offer in-state tuition to Posey, Vanderburgh, and Warrick counties in Indiana.

HCC embraces its mission to enhance the quality of life and employability of our community by serving as the leading provider of college and workplace readiness, transfer education, technical education and workforce training, and lifelong learning and cultural enrichment.
