Henderson Community College is offering fall classes to earn a certificate or Associates degree in many programs of study. The deadline to apply for 16-week classes beginning August 13 is August 6th. Two scholarships are available to help you with tuition costs (which are the lowest in the state): 15 to Finish and Work Ready Kentucky.

To apply for the Work Ready Scholarship, you need to be a U.S. citizen, be a Kentucky resident, have a high school diploma or GED (or be working towards your GED with AOKY), have not earned an associate degree or higher, be enrolled in or accepted to an eligible postsecondary institution in an approved program of study, and not be in default on any obligation to KHEAA.

There are several options for tutoring over the summer: Need in-person help? LIB Library faculty and staff are available during the week, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. You may want to call first to ensure access to a person in the area of study you need (270. 831-9767). Online Help: Two great free resources are Learning Express Library, which includes tutorials, practice tests and eBooks for all ages along with skill building in reading, writing, math and basic science and college and career practice tests (ACT, SAT, etc.). Another resource is the Khan Academy, which allows you to learn anything free online. Henderson County Residents also have access to Tutor.com, live tutoring help online between 2-11 p.m. with their library card and pin. See the website for more information.

June 14 - Last day to file an application for August credential (certificate, diploma or degree) in the Admissions & Records Office (STC Start Center). June 26 - Last day to withdraw and receive a 50% tuition refund and last day to withdraw at the student's discretion without the instructor's signature and receive a "W" grade (8-week classes). Note: In order for students to withdraw from a course, students must utilize the Online Withdrawal Process in Student Self-Service/PeopleSoft. June 29 - Last day to apply and register for 4-week summer classes beginning July 2. July 4 - Independence Day, College Closed. July 5 - Summer term financial aid refunds will be processed.
