For those wishing to register for Spring 2019 please be aware of the following dates and times: Monday, January 7th, 2019: Last Day to Apply for the Spring 2019 semester. Tuesday, January 8th, 2019: Open Registration 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Wednesday, January 9th, 2019: Open Registration 9:00 am to 1:00 pm AND 4:00 to 6:00 pm. HCC has scheduled a "Spring Welcome Back Event" for all students currently enrolled for the upcoming semester on Sunday, January 13th from 1-4 pm. Students will have the opportunity to take campus tours, have student ID's made, and speak with representatives from admissions, financial aid, business office, technology solutions, and student support services. Refreshments will be served. Any questions? Contact The Start Center at 270-827-6158.

KCTCS System Director Dr. Jay Box has announced Dr. Jason D. Warren has been selected as the new president of Henderson Community College. Dr. Warren currently serves as chief Student Affairs officer at Hopkinsville Community College. He also served as chief Institutional Advancement officer at the college and was founding coordinator of the college's Upward Bound program. Prior to that, he held positions at the University of Louisville library. Warren also has served as an instructor at Murray State University, University of Louisville and Hopkinsville Community College. Dr. Warren earned a doctorate in educational leadership and organizational development from the University of Louisville. He earned both a master's degree in education administration and a bachelor's degree in counseling and guidance from the University of Louisville. He begins his duties Feb. 1.

The Start Center, located on the second floor of the Sullivan Center, will open for an open registration opportunity on Thursday, January 3rd, 2019 from 2-8 pm. No appointment is necessary. The HCC presidential screening committee has recommended three finalists to KCTCS President, Dr. Jay Box. On-campus interviews have been scheduled. The finalists are: Dr. John McMoy, college dean, Wallace State Community College, Hanceville, Alabama Dr. Shannon Kennedy, executive vice president, Cleveland Community College, Shelby, North Carolina Dr. Jason Warren, chief Student Affairs officer, Hopkinsville Community College, Hopkinsville, Kentucky During their visit, candidates will meet with faculty, staff, students, the board of directors and local leaders.
