Henderson, KY – While classes began on Monday, January 13th, at Henderson Community College (HCC), there are still plenty of opportunities for students to enroll this spring.

Chad Phillips, Interim Director of the Start Center, says, “We have a variety of start dates for spring courses because we know one size doesn’t necessarily fit all.”

Jessica Beaven, HCC Recruiter, agreed, saying, “With classes starting on February 10th and March 16th, prospective students don’t have to wait till next semester to start their education.”

There is a wide variety of courses to choose from including humanities courses such as Introduction to World Art and Ancient Through Medieval Art History, healthcare courses such as Nursing Assisting and Medical Terminology, business courses like Introduction to Business and Human Resource Management, as well as courses in communications, computer sciences, and music. These classes easily can fit the busy lifestyle of adult learners as they are offered in a variety of forms, including face-to-face during the day and in the evenings, as well as online. Additionally, these classes can transfer to universities.

“In addition to the variety of course offerings we have, we also offer courses in different formats and at various times,” Phillips says. “Henderson Community College has both traditional, in-class courses as well as fully online courses available. We also offer hybrid courses which meet less frequently than a traditional course but have some online content included. Hybrid courses are a great way to ‘experiment’ with online content for those students who aren’t entirely comfortable with a fully online course.”

At HCC, we understand that the “traditional schedule” doesn’t work for everyone, especially those with families and a full-time work load. That’s why it’s so important that we offer flexible course schedules – to fit your needs. After all, your success equals our success.
