Henderson, KY – Henderson Community College (HCC) is pleased to announce the Fall 2019 graduation ceremonies are scheduled for Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Preston Arts Center located at 2660 South Green Street. The ceremony begins at 7:00 PM.

Dr. Jason Warren, President and CEO of HCC will provide the welcome and opening remarks for the ceremony.  A graduating student from each of the college’s three divisions will also speak. During the ceremony, 271 credentials, certificates, diplomas, and degrees will be awarded to 164 graduates.

This semester, Mr. Monte Davenport, HCC alumni and former HCC Board of Directors member, will be presented with our Distinguished Alumni award. Mr. Davenport was chosen as our Fall 2019 Distinguished Alumni for many reasons, his commitment to his community being top of the list. A native of Sebree, KY, Mr. Davenport graduated from HCC in 1986 with an Associate in Applied Science in Communications Technology. Since then, he has been an active member of both the Providence and Sebree Chambers of Commerce, has served on the GRADD, C-Link and Webster County Extension Council boards, and is a Deacon and Worship Leader and Sebree First Baptist Church in addition to serving as the Assistant Vice President and Loan Officer at Independence Bank in Providence. To say we’re proud that Mr. Davenport is an HCC alumni is an understatement. We’re very much looking forward to highlighting him and his accomplishments at the graduation ceremony this coming Friday.

In addition to graduation, HCC will be hosting the Nursing Pinning Ceremony this week Friday, December 13, at 3:00 PM at the Preston Arts Center. This event will celebrate 17 nursing students graduating into the nursing profession.

The community is invited to attend the ceremony.
