HCC HOSTING INFORMATION SESSION FOR ALLIED HEALTH PROGRAMS

Published on Nov 18, 2019

Henderson, KY – Henderson Community College (HCC) knows how vital Allied Health professionals are to our community. That’s why we’re offering an information session for the following Allied Health Programs: Health Science Technology, Medical Assisting, and Medical Laboratory Technician. This information session will be held on November 21st.

During these information sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about schedules, classes, certificates, and program specific requirements. The program coordinator for each of these programs will be available to answer any and all questions you may have.

Kim Dean, Program Coordinator of the Health Science Technology Program, said, “This is a new program that we’re excited to offer at HCC! Within this program, we’re now approved to offer two brand new certificates – Substance Abuse Recovery Coach and Aging Services. These are two high-demand areas for healthcare, so we’re thrilled to be able to offer them to our students.”

Mark Chandler, Program Coordinator of the Medical Assisting Program, said, “Medical Assisting is a great career choice for people who are passionate about helping others and assisting physicians and medical offices to provide services to their patients.”

Amanda Seaton, Program Coordinator of the Medical Laboratory Technician Program, said, “The MLT program is great for students that have an interest in science and want to save lives, improve healthcare, and stay up-to-date on the latest clinical technology, all from behind the scenes.”
