NEW URM SCHOLARSHIP AT HCC!

Published on Jun 1, 2021

Henderson, KY – Henderson Community College (HCC) is committed to creating opportunities for historically underrepresented minority populations (URM) to have equal access to and participate in educational programs that can close the achievement gaps in student success and completion.

Gibbs Die Casting Corporation (Gibbs) and Audubon Metals’ parent company, Koch Enterprise Inc., support numerous people and community organizations through financial grants in the areas of education, arts, health care, and human services for people in need through no fault of their own. The Koch Foundation is a vehicle that helps accomplish this.

A partnership with Koch Family Foundation will provide scholarships for students that will allow them the opportunity to successfully complete their training at HCC.

This week Gibbs and Audubon Metals represented the Koch Foundation at Henderson Community College (HCC) to announce the Koch Foundation (Gibbs Die Casting/Audubon Metals) URM (Underrepresented Minorities) Scholarship and presented a check for $50,000 to establish an endowment fund. Scholarships will be awarded to HCC URM students who have demonstrated the potential for achieving academic excellence. Both full-time and part-time students are eligible.
