Steps to Registration

Six easy steps that can change your life!

Step 1: Submit your Application for Admission

Complete the online Application for Admission. Check below for important dates regarding registration. It is your responsibility to request the required documents needed to complete your admissions file. You will not be allowed to register for a second semester until your admissions file is complete. NOTE: Our application is being updated to work better with the latest versions of some browsers. To make sure that you have no issues when filling out the application, please use Firefox or Internet Explorer web browsers.

**Once you apply you will receive an admissions acceptance letter with instructions on contacting a Start Center advisor.**

Fall 2017

Last Day to apply for courses: Tuesday, August 1st (apply by this date to be eligible to register for classes that begin on August 14th).

Open Registration: Tuesday, August 8th from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm OR 4:00 - 6:00 pm.
                                    Wednesday, August 9th from 1:30 pm - 6:00 pm.

Final Tuition Payment Due: Friday, August 11th by 4:30 PM, CST (or online by Sunday, August 13th at 11 PM, CST).

Classes Begin: Monday, August 14th, 2017.

Step 2: Apply for Financial Aid

Fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For more information, call the Go KCTCS! Student Center at 1-855-464-2244 or stop by the Start Center (located on the second floor of the Sullivan Technology Center) for more information.

Step 3: Attend New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is required for all students new to Henderson Community College. You will be scheduled for an orientation session when you meet with a Start Center advisor.

Step 4: Schedule Placement Testing

You may be scheduled for placement testing when you meet with a Start Center advisor. Check the Assessment and Placement page to determine if you need placement testing.

Step 5: Register Online for Classes (see dates in Step 1 above)

Meet with your advisor to discuss your academic plan and register for classes. (See dates noted in Step 1 above)

Step 6: Pay Tuition and Buy Books

Books may be purchased online through the college bookstore or in person at their location in the Student Center. Please check their website for hours of operation and special information about purchasing your books. For more information contact the HCC bookstore at 270-831-9781.
