HCC STUDENT SHOWCASE SLATED FOR FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 30th
Student Showcase Information
Showcase Date and Location: The judging for this year's event will be on Friday, Nov 30th. Location: PAC Lobby
Registration: Registrations must be filled out completely! One can be picked up at the AT 2nd Floor Reception Desk and at the Start Center Desk. Phone numbers and email addresses are critical, as is the project category. Sheets may be emailed to Kara Becker or placed in the folder on the door of AT202B.
Deadlines: Deadline for Showcase entry is Monday, November 26th at NOON.
Student notification: Students will be notified of their project time and event information by 5pm on Wednesday, Nov 28th. Students should contact Kara Becker if they do not receive notification by this time at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 270-831-9793.
Project Set-up: To help students, we will allow students to setup 5 minutes before their presentations if they only have small displays. For students who have more elaborate displays, we will have set up on at Showcase location from 8am-9 am on the morning of Nov 30th or projects can be set up 5 minutes prior to the interview.
Judging: Judging will be from 9am-12pm. Students only need to be present for the 15 minute interview time slot. Students select the time slot when they register. We will do our best to meet your time slot requests; however, requests are honored in the order in which they are received.
Project Categories and Prizes: The Showcase will host three categories, if there are enough entries. The categories are Academic, Applied, and Service Learning. Each category prize winner will receive $100. An award for the project that has the best emphasis in sustainability/sustainable practices will receive $25. Category descriptions are located on the project registration form.
