September 2013 Fourth Friday Writers Coffeehouse

The 2013 September event of the Fourth Friday Writer s Coffeehouse will take place on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, at Bagelrama Caf on 230 Second St. in Henderson, KY. Live music begins at 6:00 pm provided by acoustic guitar player, Jesse Moore. Featured authors, Katie Mullins and Rob Griffith, will read from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. The readings will be followed by Open Mic and more live music. The event is open to the public and admission is free.

Katie Darby Mullins is currently finishing her MFA at Spalding University and teaches at the University of Evansville. In addition to editing a recent rock 'n roll crossover edition of the metrical poetry journal Measure, she's been published or has work forthcoming in journals like Harpur Palate, Broad River Review, Big Lucks, The Evansville Review. Recently, she was a semifinalist in the Ropewalk Press Fiction Chapbook competition. Katie is also an editor at The Louisville Review and the lead writer and founder of the music blog Katie Darby Recommends.

Rob Griffith s latest book, The Moon from Every Window (David Robert Books, 2011), has been nominated for the 2013 Poets Prize; and his previous book, A Matinee in Plato's Cave, was the winner of the 2009 Best Book of Indiana Award. His work has appeared in PN Review, Poetry, The North American Review, The Oxford American, and many others. He is the editor of the journal Measure and teaches in the Creative Writing Program at the University of Evansville, Indiana.
