Henderson, KY – At Henderson Community College (HCC), we strive to both meet and exceed the needs of our current and potential students, no matter the season. We understand that the “traditional schedule” might not work for everyone, especially in the unique circumstances we are all currently facing. With that in mind, HCC is offering additional learning opportunities this year with a new, online winter term from December 2020 – January 2021 for current and new students, as well as those visiting from other institutions.

Dr. Chad Phillips, Registrar at HCC, noted, “Winter term classes provide visiting students a unique learning opportunity as HCC’s tuition ranks among the lowest in the state. HCC’s admissions staff is committed to ensuring visiting students have an easy transition between HCC and their home college by providing one-on-one assistance, technology support services, and even a free transcript when they complete their winter term class.” Dr. Phillips continued, “This new term also gives both new and current students the chance to complete some of their general education requirements before the spring semester begins.”

HCC’s winter term courses will start December 15 and end January 17. The following courses will be offered:

  • History of the US Since 1865
  • Introduction to Interpersonal Communication
  • General Psychology
  • Human Services Survey
  • Medical Terminology
  • Introduction to Computers
  • Achieving Academic Success
  • Introduction to Applied Statistics
