Key Largo
- November 3, 2014.

Lauren Bacall collaborated with Humphrey Bogart on three films. Of these, Key Largo is the starkest and most suspenseful. When Bogart visits a remote hotel in the Florida Keys, he finds that its owners, Bacall and her invalid father, are under the thumb of a Chicago gangster--modelled on Al Capone--who is hiding from the police. Isolated, and with a hurricane blowing in, Bogart and Bacall must face down the gangster and his crew. (Directed by John Huston; starring Lauren Bacall, Humphrey Bogart, Edward G. Robinson, Lionel Barrymore and Claire Trevor; 1948, 100 min.) Discussion led by Steve McCarty.
