Henderson Community College Plans Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Martin Luther King, Jr., forever changed the fabric of America by decrying social injustice and championing for the equal treatment of all men and women, regardless of race. On January 19 Henderson Community College will explore and celebrate his life and legacy at its annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. program. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Henderson Fine Arts Center and is free and open to the public.

Rev. Robert Whitlock, who just began his 28th year as Pastor at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, will be featured as the keynote speaker. Rev. Whitlock is a charter member of the African American Pastor s and Layman s Alliance and will speak on the subject Living the Legacy.
