The Little Colonel

One of Shirley Temple s most beloved films, The Little Colonel is the story of a little girl whose mother is a Confederate Belle who married a Yankee soldier. When the mother is disowned by her father a Confederate Colonel only Shirley Temple s goodness and innocence can bring the family back together. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

This is the best known and most popular of Sergio Leone s spaghetti westerns. Recently deceased Eli Wallach portrays The Ugly a gunfighter who with Clint Eastwood ( The Good ) and Lee Van Cleef ( The Bad ) are all searching for a stolen payroll. Good Will Hunting

Robin Williams won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in this film, while Matt Damon and Ben Affleck won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. Williams is compelling as the acerbic, yet insightful psychiatrist who is struggling to teach the brilliant yet socially awkward janitor working in the halls of MIT how to find his way in the world. This story of egos, brilliance, love and redemption garnered nine Oscar nominations.
