Alumni of the HCC/MSU 2 +2 Program Honored

Each year, Henderson Community College recognizes a single distinguished alumnus. This year, however, college leadership chose to honor a group of distinguished alumni the graduates of the Murray State University Henderson Regional Campus Bachelor of Education 2 + 2 program. These graduates were awarded the HCC Distinguished Alumni Award on Monday night.

These alumni began at HCC as Associate of Arts or Associate of Science students with a major in education, and then transferred on to MSU s Henderson campus to complete the final two years of their Bachelor of Education degree. Many went on to earn their Master s degree in Education or even their doctoral degree. These alumni have developed an incredible presence in the Henderson, Webster and Union County school systems as educators and administrators. Examples of graduates of the HCC/MSU partnership include current HCC education program advisor Misty French, Slaughters Elementary School Principal Tiffany Jones and South Heights Assistant Principal Crissy Sandefur.

2011 marks the 10th year of the HCC/MSU 2 + 2 program.
