
SGA OFFICERS NEEDED FOR 2021-22

Want to make a difference at HCC? Run for office with the SGA!
Officer nominations will be open Aug. 30-Sept 3rd. Students must complete and return a nomination form by Sept. 3rd 4pm. To receive or submit a form, please see Prof. Griffis, LIB 207 (library second floor). Students can also email Prof. Griffis to request a nomination form.
Elections will be held Sept. 7-Sept. 9th. All HCC students can vote at the library’s circulation desk, during regular library operating hours. Students must present a current HCC student ID to vote.
The 2021-2022 SGA officers will be announced Sept. 10th.

Qualifications for:
President: Full-time student (12 credit hours); Kentucky resident; In good academic standing (not on academic probation). The President must preside at all SGA Executive Board meetings and attend all Senate meetings; speak at Graduation; serve as student representative to HCC Board of Directors (must be available five Friday mornings throughout the semester); The president may also be asked to attend KCTCS SGA meetings (overnight travel paid for by the HCC).
Vice President: assumes the duties of the President in his/her absence; attends all meetings; and has other executive responsibilities.
Secretary/Treasurer: keeps the minutes of the SGA Executive Board, Student Senate, and Club Council; distributes the minutes, and is responsible for all financial records and statements of the SGA.
