Published on Mar 25, 2020

UPDATE: MARCH 25, 2020

Henderson, KY – Henderson Community College (HCC) has made the decision to extend remote instruction through the end of the Spring 2020 semester. This includes final exams. Spring commencement has also been postponed to a later date to be announced.

As HCC continues to monitor the situation with COVID-19, based on direction from state and national health experts, the college will continue to provide only online/remote classroom instruction through May 2. Final exams, which take place May 4-10, will be delivered online or remotely as well.

HCC will provide lab/technical/clinical instruction as soon as the governor authorizes a return to a face-to-face learning environment. Allied health students will be placed in clinical sites as soon as the site allows students into the healthcare facility.

Campus will remain open only to essential college employees during this time. Employees who have moved to work-from-home options will continue to do so through April 17 or until the college reopens on a regular schedule.

“The health and welfare of our HCC family and community remains our priority,” said Dr. Jason Warren, President & CEO of HCC. He continued, “I am so proud of our faculty, staff, and students. I appreciate their hard work and spirit of cooperation as we navigate challenges we have never faced.”

HCC continues to encourage students to check their KCTCS student email and Blackboard daily for course updates from instructors. Student services will continue to be offered virtually during this time period.
