Plan Your Visit!

There are lots of things to do and see while you are in Henderson--shopping, restaurants, and attractions. Please visit Henderson-Henderson County Tourism for a complete listing.

The Guild, our volunteer organization, was founded in 1994 to support the programs and events of the Preston Arts Center (PAC) and Henderson Area Arts Alliance (HAAA). Currently we have more than 60 volunteers who enjoy the sociHenderson Guildal atmosphere of meeting and greeting patrons, helping newcomers find their seats, and serving as an ambassador for the Center, plus seeing a fabulous performance.

Membership is $15 and the only requirement is a willingness to volunteer your time and talents to support the arts in our community. Guild members enjoy several perks such as first choice in all ushering opportunities and an invitation to the annual Sneak Preview dinner--when the new arts season is first announced.

Guild Officers for 2015-2016 are:

  • Pam Wilson, President
  • Mary Minnette, Vice-President
  • Pam Buchanan, Treasurer

Numerous volunteer opportunities are available in the following areas:

Many of the schools in the area use the Center for their school plays, special programs and concerts. There is an excellent partnership between the schools and the Center with the common goal of bringing the arts to as many children as possible.

Henderson Area Arts Alliance presents a series of family shows at the Preston Arts Center throughout the year plus some special events in the public schools.

Name A Seat Campaign

Become a permanent part of the Preston Arts Center and "name-a-seat." You may place your name, the name of a loved one or your business on one of the seats in McCormick Hall. A seat may be named for $1000.00 as a one time-gift or payments may be spread over 5 years. Your specified copy will be engraved on a brass plate and placed on the armrest of performance hall chair.

Make a name for yourself in the arts with your tax deductible gift. In addition, your gift will help refurbish the seats in McCormick Hall, replace the main curtain, and refinish the stage floor.

For more information, e-mail Jennifer Preston, HCC Chief Institutional Advancement Officer or phone 270-831-9805.

Preston Arts Center Community Poinsettia Tree

The Community Poinsettia Tree is a holiday tradition at Henderson Fine Arts Center.

Each year the tree takes center stage in Scott Foyer for patrons to enjoy before the performances. A $15 tax-deductible gift purchases one poinsettia as a memorial or to honor someone special. Donor names and honorees or memorials are prominently displayed in the Foyer.

The tree comes down before the Center closes for the holidays and the poinsettias are distributed to shut-ins, area charities, and nursing homes.

If you would like to donate to the Community Poinsettia Tree, please call the Preston Arts Center at 270-831-9800.
