Getting to Henderson Community College

I-69 going north from Madisonville:
take the Morganfield exit (Exit 148A)--425 Bypass  (Henderson Community College and State Police). Continue on 425 Bypass through the 2 stoplights, Hwy. 41 & Hwy. 41A, until the 3rd stoplight at the intersection of 425, Hwy. 136 and U.S. 60 west. Turn left onto U.S. 60 west. Then turn left at any of the three entrances to Henderson Community College.

Audubon Parkway from Owensboro:
take the Madisonville exit, going south on US 41 (formerly the Pennyrile Parkway).  Take the Morganfield and State Police exit (Exit 10A)--425 Bypass. Continue on 425 Bypass through the 2 stoplights, Hwy. 41 & Hwy. 41A, until the 3rd stoplight at the intersection of 425, Hwy. 136 and U.S. 60 west. Turn left onto U.S. 60 west. Then turn left at any of the three entrances to Henderson Community College.

Note: As of 2/23/16 some highway mile markers may still have the old Pennyrile Parkway mile numbers. The former Pennyrile Parkway is now US 41 north of the 425 Bypass and I-69 begins south of the bypass.

Main Entrance: Sullivan Technology Building Welcome Center
The best route to the college's main entrance is by turning south onto Old Corydon Road from the 425 Bypass and then onto Sandy Watkins Way. Park in the first parking lot you come to (Parking Lot 4) and the Sullivan Technology Center will be directly across from it.  It has large white letters on the building that read “STC”. The Welcome Center is directly inside the double door entrance.

Getting to Herron Center (Union County)

From Henderson KY:

If travelling from US-41 North take the downtown Henderson exit (81B)
Take Green St south (US-41-ALT/US-60) towards Morganfield (stay on this highway which will take you directly through Morganfield and to the Herron Center or you can take the bypass loop around the city)
Turn left onto US-60 Bypass (US-60-TRUCK)
Turn left onto US Highway 60 W (US-60)
Arrive at US Highway 60 W (US-60). HCC's Herron Center (next to Union County High School) is on the right


From I69 North (formerly Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway)

Take exit 44 for KY-281 toward US-41/Madisonville/Providence
Turn left onto KY-281 S/Island Ford Rd (signs for US-41)
Continue onto US-41 ALT N/Nebo Rd
Turn right onto State Hwy 630
Turn left onto KY-132 S
Keep right to continue on Clayton Ave
Turn right onto US-41 ALT N/Main St (continue to follow US-41 ALT N)
Turn left onto KY-56 W
Turn left onto US-60 BYP
Turn left onto US-60 W

Where would I go to...

on the Henderson campus?

talk to the Admissions office, an advisor and/or Financial Aid? Take the first left into the college at the bottom of the hill, near the Fine Arts Center.  Take the access road approximately 1/8 mile.  This road will curve around to the back of campus.  Note the white water tank on your left as you reach the back of campus.  Park in the first parking lot you come to and the Sullivan Technology Center will be directly across from Parking Lot 4.  It has large white letters on the building that read “STC”.  Enter the main doors, turn right, and take the stairs to the second floor.  Turn right when you reach the second floor and enter The Start Center—check in at the front desk.

take the ACT or a proctored test? Take the entrance into the college at the bottom of the hill (near the Fine Arts Center).  Take the access road that curves behind the FAC to the back of campus.  Note the white water tank on your left as you reach the back of campus.  Park in the first parking lot you come to (Parking Lot 4) and the Sullivan Technology Center will be directly across from it.  It has large white letters on the building that read “STC”.  Enter the main doors, turn right, and take the stairs to the second floor.  Turn right when you reach the second floor and enter The Start Center—check in at the front desk.

pay my school bill or set up a payment system for my classes? Take the entrance to the college off South Green St. and park in Lot 3 behind the Administration building. It has large white letters on the building that read ADM. The business office is located on the main floor at the south end of the hallway.

visit the Murray State or Lindsey Wilson on-campus sites? Take the entrance to the college off South Green St. and park in Lot 3 behind the Administration building at the top of the hill. It has large white letters on the building that read ADM. Murray State and Lindsey Wilson offices are located on the main floor at the north end of the hallway.

get books for classes, eat lunch, or work out at the fitness center?
Take either entrance to the college off South Green St. and park in the lot (Lot 3) behind the Administration building (ADM) at the top of the hill or in Lots 1 and 2 adjacent to the Fine Arts Center. The Student Center is located in between the Administration building and the Fine Arts Center. It has large white letters on the building that read SCR. The bookstore, campus grill, and the fitness center are all located here.

do research or check out books or find a quiet place to study? Take the last entrance to the college off South Green St. and park in Lot 3 behind the Administration building (ADM) at the top of the hill. The library is located is directly adjacent to the Administration building.

attend a play or musical production? Take the first entrance to the college and park in Lot 1 next to the Fine Arts Center. There are multiple entrances to the venue and tickets can be purchased at the main entrance located directly across from the lake.
