Students, my name is Jason Warren and I serve as the President/CEO of Henderson Community College. Commencement and Honors Night represent two of my favorite events of the year. Thank you for choosing HCC! We are so proud of each of you for your accomplishments especially amidst a global pandemic. You have demonstrated persistence, grit, and determination. Those skills will serve you well in your future endeavors. Traditionally, Honors Night is a single event of recognition. However, the global pandemic prevents us from holding this years Honors ceremony as in the past. But we still desire to honor you via this virtual ceremony and give you the recognition you deserve for your outstanding accomplishments. I am excited about our modified Commencement ceremony which will be held over a two-day period May 6-7 that will allow students to celebrate in-person with their families by appointment. Modified Commencement ceremonies will be conducted by our HCCFAME, allied health, and Early College Academy programs. Tonight, will be departmental and divisional level awards. These awards reflect excellence in our technical and transfer programs. They were voted on by the faculty of each program and division. Tomorrow night we will honor the George Hoffman scholarship recipients. Hoffman scholarships are funded by an externally held perpetual trust legacy gift which was established in 1983 and is managed by Field & Main Bank. And finally on Thursday we will recognize institutional level achievement. * Phi Theta Kappa * Honors Program * KCTCS All-Academic Team * General Excellence Again, congratulations! We wish you continued success!
