Jazz band performing onstageThree great jazz ensembles will be playing on the Preston Arts Center stage as part of the 2019-2020 On Stage Series supported in part by the City of Henderson. The audience will be seated on stage in an intimate atmosphere. While legislators are meeting in Frankfort during this year’s General Assembly session, they will look for ways to improve Kentucky’s communities, grow the state’s workforce and provide an affordable way for students to attend and pay for college. As the 16 college presidents of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS), we not only share these important goals, but our faculty and staff work every day to better the lives of Kentuckians through education, training and personal growth. With support from our legislators, we can do even more for our students, employers, and communities.

HESI DATES: 1/27/2020-9am 1/29/2020-1pm 2/2/2020-1pm 2/10/2020-9am 2/20/2020-3pm 2/21/2020-9am 2/24/2020-1pm 2/27/2020-1pm The HESI test fee is $60 which has to be paid in order to schedule for the test. Cash, check, debit or credit are all accepted forms of payment. Debit and Credit can be paid over the phone.

Psychiatric technicians assist mental health care providers, such as psychiatrists, doctors, or registered nurses, in providing hands-on care to people that have a developmental disability or who suffer from a serious mental illness. ... They carry out orders from doctors, observe patient behavior, and treat patients.  They help patients cope with their disabilities or mental conditions.HCC is now offering a certificate in Health Science Technology! Students can now achieve a Psychiatric Mental Health Technician certificate which they can utilize in a hospital, nursing home, or mental health facility!

During this open house from 2-4PM in the Hartfield Library, students will have the opportunity to print their class schedules, tour their classrooms, obtain their student ID badges and access the bookstore.

HCC WINTER BREAKThe Henderson Community College (HCC) campus will be closed beginning Monday, December 23, 2019 and will reopen at 8:00 AM on Monday, January 6, 2020. HCC will be hosting a special registration event, New Year, New You, on Monday, December 30, from 1:00 - 5:00 PM in the Start Center. Both new and current students are invited to attend. The Start Center is located on the second floor of the Sullivan Technology Center.
