Keep up with what's happening at HCC!
Henderson Community College has many avenues for communicating with the faculty and staff. Here are the ways to find out what is happening around our three locations.
Green Street Journal and other college newsletters - The GSJ is produced weekly during the Fall and Spring semesters. It has useful information about the activities taking place on campus plus information from the President.
HCC Web pages - This one's kind of self-explanatory since you're already here. Take time to explore, though, and you might be surprised at all of the information available. Here are two helpful links:
SharePoint - SharePoint is KCTCS's repository for documents and collaboration. Bookmark the Henderson Transformation Team site and find access to Leadership Team, Faculty Meeting and Staff Meeting minutes as well as other important college information.
MS Lync-Instant Messaging - If you need to contact someone quickly, then try Instant Messaging. With IM you are able to carry on a conversation instead of waiting for the e-mail to bounce back-and-forth. Need help on how to use Lync? Contact the Technology Solutions Help Desk at 831-9616.
Do you need to get the word out?
Do you need to get your event publicized? Your first contact should be with the Public Relations Office. Jennifer Preston can assist you with knowing which avenues to take and what approvals are needed to get the word out for your event or activity.

Check the KCTCS Branding Guide to make sure that your document or presentation complies with KCTCS guidelines. Henderson Community College uses Tier 1 and 2 standards. Tier 1 standards are mandatory system-wide. Tier 2 standards are determined by each college administration.
KCTCS Style Guide - The style guide provides guidelines to help produce consistency throughout KCTCS publications and the Web sites.
Communication Plan Template - Use this template to help you plan how you want to get your message to the targeted audience.
E-mail Etiquette - Do you have questions about how to format and send e-mails? Look over this presentation by Bill Gary.
