Henderson Community College is offering several employment “stimulus” classes in the coming weeks intended for persons who are unemployed or who need to upgrade their skills to make them more marketable.
The classes range from a free class about how to prepare affordable meals to some inexpensive introductory computer classes, plus a series of welding classes.
The registration deadline is one week before the beginning of each class. Classes may be canceled because of low enrollment.
HCC encourages persons who want to attend a class but have scheduling conflicts to call anyway, because additional classes may be added if there is sufficient interest.
Classes will be offered both at HCC’s Industrial and Engineering Technology (IET) building on Pennel Street in Henderson and at the Herron Technology Center on U.S. 60-West behind Union County High School at Morganfield. The cooking class will be taught at HCC’s main campus.
For information or to register, contact Jo Ann Brock at 831-9658 or joann.brock@kctcs.edu.
