Penny Nunn Hahn is a native of Henderson and alumnus of Henderson Community College. Her mother also attended HCC, so it is part of the family tradition. Her favorite memories of HCC include playing Spades in the Student Center between classes, reading The Hill to see what was happening on campus, and favorite classes like Ms. Hughes' Sociology classes.
After graduating from HCC, she transferred to the University of Southern Indiana where she earned three bachelor’s degrees, political science and sociology, elementary education, and accounting. She worked in public accounting for almost ten years and has her Indiana and Kentucky CPA licenses. She is a member of the 2013 Henderson Leadership Initiative class. In May 2013, she will earn her MBA from Morehead State University. She currently works in the HCC Business Affairs Office and is also an adjunct accounting faculty, and enjoys being a part of the college and the community.
Penny lives in Henderson with her husband, Joe and two stepchildren, Ethan and Hayden, and their beloved cats.
