Financial Aid refunds are normally issued to your preferred refund method as indicated on you HigherOne account the next Thursday after 30 days from the start of the standard term. This is due to funds being disbursed to KCTCS 30 days after the start of the term. While the following Thursday is typically when refunds are applied to student accounts and issued to HigherOne, it can depend on your preferred method of refund as to when those funds are actually available to you.

The HCC Financial Aid Office is currently processing aid for the 2013-2014 academic year. Students are required to submit all financial aid paperwork prior these deadlines. Failure to do so may result in being dropped from classes prior to the start of the term per the college’s drop for non-payment policy as published in the current schedule of classes.

You can obtain the education you desire, at an affordable price, through federal and state aid, work-study programs, loans, scholarships, and payment plans. Most students receive some type of financial aid to help pay for college, and most is based on need.
Students should monitor their KCTCS e-mail account for important information. All financial aid correspondence, including award notifications and missing information requests will be sent to KCTCS e-mail addresses. To view your financial aid award and account, log in to the student self-service website.
