The Division of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies offers courses that transfer to four-year institutions with subjects such as English, Communications, Music, Art, Theatre, Religion, Philosophy, and Photography. Courses are also available in Anthropology, Business, Economics, Education, Geography, History, Human Services, Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work, and Sociology.
The division also offers associate degrees and certificates in Business Administration (BA), and Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE) programs.
Most courses satisfy requirements for the Associate in Arts and the Associate in Science degrees while others support the completion of the Associate in Applied Science degree. Whether you are pursuing a technical degree program or intend to transfer, we will meet your academic needs. Other divisional offerings include student activities such as Henderson Community Theatre, the Riverbend Review: Art and Literary Magazine, the History Club, and art shows. All of these organizations are open to all students. Services provided include The Writing Center in AD205. The faculty of HCC also sponsor KEA-SP for students in the education field.
