Liberal Arts and Professional Studies (LAPS)

Henderson Community College's Division of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies offers general education courses that transfer to four-year colleges/universities with subjects such as:

We can also prepare you for either an Associate in Applied Science degree or transfer into one of the following programs:

  • Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education:  Associate in Applied Science degree (AAS) or transfer
  • Social Work: 2+2 program with Murray State University
  • Education:  2+2 program with Murray State University
  • Human Services

Most courses satisfy requirements for the Associate in Arts and the Associate in Science degrees while others support the completion of the Associate in Applied Science degree.  Whether you are pursuing a technical degree program or intend to transfer, we will meet your academic needs.
