Allied Health (AH)

The Allied Health Division supports the mission of Henderson Community College by providing high-quality technical programs preparing students for immediate employment and offering educational programs that produce caring, competent, and service-oriented health care professionals. Allied health professions offered at Henderson Community College include dental hygiene, emergency medical technician, medical assisting, medical laboratory technician, and nursing (practical nursing, associate degree nursing and Medicaid nursing assistant).

The division offers associate degrees in the Dental Hygiene, Medical Assisting, Medical Laboratory Technician, and Nursing programs. Diplomas are offered for Dental Assisting and Practical Nursing and certificates are awarded to students who complete the Medicaid Nursing Assistant courses. There are many certificates that are available in each of these areas as well.
